Being a Newborn Photographer, but also a parent myself, I really understand the value and importance of capturing these early moments of your baby’s life! Time flies by so fast.
I will cover some of the more common questions about newborn photography.
“What should I look for when hiring a newborn photographer?”
Choosing the right photographer for your newborn is more than just finding someone with a “good camera”.
It’s about trust, understanding, patience and experience. I have over a decade of capturing new little ones and their families, plus three gorgeous children of my own- so I’ve definitely got the experience to make these moments truly magical for you.
At my studio, your baby’s safety is my top priority. I am completely baby lead in my approach which in turn creates a relaxed, warm atmosphere for parents and baby alike so you can sit back and enjoy this special time.
I am also a trained Doula that’s worked within Tunbridge Wells and surrounding Kent towns so I know what that postpartum period is like and how parents may be feeling during those early days of parenthood.
“What can I expect during a newborn photography session?”
During your session, I take care of everything! From the moment you show up to the moment you leave, you can relax and let me do my thing! Sessions take around 2-3 hours.
Sibling and parents photos are highly encouraged.
If you have any specific poses or props in mind, I’m always happy to incorporate your ideas and preferences into the session.
To capture those curled up sleepy moments, it’s best to book in your newborn photography session as early as possible, ideally after your 12 week scan and then we schedule the actual session date once baby arrives, preferably before baby is 4 weeks new.
“Do I need to bring anything?”
I have pretty much everything you’ll need for the session here, including props, backdrops, and blankets.
If you are bottle feeding, bring along enough feeds for baby for 3 hours (and one extra as they WILL burn more calories than usual so may need a little more milk).
“How much does newborn photography cost?”
Newborn photography sessions are £249, this INCLUDES 10 digital images that will be available to download once edited. Additional digital images and products can be purchased at additional costs if desired.
